MORE DON MEYER

Here is some more notes and information from Coach Meyer. I really hope that Coach Meyer continues to speak at clinics into his retirement because he may be the greatest clinician ever. Those of you who are not familiar with Coach Meyer I suggest you read up on him and try to get your hands on anything and everything that he has done!

*Have your eyes up when driving to the hole

*Look at these when scouting:
1. Conditioning

3. Fouls *These give you a chance to win when
the opponent is better

*Motta Rule- Assistant subbed in a player for Jerry Sloan because 1.) He wouldn’t come out of the game 2.) Motta wouldn’t take him out.

Warren Buffett Looks For:

*The 1st two without the last one will kill
you

*Fouls give you a chance to negate athleticism
*Fouls give you a chance to get their best player out of the game

One word is better than 2 words
One syllable is better than 2 syllables

Instead of ‘high hole’ = high
Instead of ‘low hole’ = low

6 inch zone- better to get too close at the beginning of the year, develops constant ball pressure

Four types of People/Players:
